You should work on the following tasks:
Characterize Ella Khan (in essay form).
Characterize Nazir, Abdul, Tariq, Maneer, Saleem, Meenah and Sajid. Take notes and after a short description of who is who collect as many adjectives as possible to show their character.
Exam preparation
1) Read: Materialien zum selbstständigen standardorientierten Lernen in der gymnasialen Oberstufe: Englisch - text production. Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Jugend und Wissenschaft. Berlin, Dezember 2018: pp. 32-34
2) Write down the most important aspects (handwritten: see above)
3) Is there any person from literature, film or a real person that you can compare with Ella Khan?
Exam preparation
1) Revise the sheet "Stylistic devices" (figures of speech and rhetorical devices).
2) Print out the test, underline and name the stylistic devices.
1) Please send me an email with your name if you haven't done yet and you will get the password for the solutions to the test "Stylistic devices".
2) Compare the solutions (link deleted) and add more devices if necessary. You might have found other suitable terms. (I did not underline the words in my solutions.)
Choose one of the tasks and write an essay (minimum: 250 words; please count your words).

As I do not know when I will see you again, I ask you to scan all your written work and save it as a pdf document.
I will create a group for us in "Lernraum Berlin" so that you can upload your work there after I have sent you a link. I can only send you a link if I got your email address. Whoever has not sent me an email yet, please do so.

You need a password which you only get in an email from me.
I expect you to upload all your written work from 17th March to 2nd April in one single PDF document till Thursday 30th April 6p.m. In case you used jpeg or any other format, please convert it to a PDF; there are lots of free tools, for instance https://tools.pdf24.org/de/
2) Please read "A Pair of Jeans" by Qaisra Shahraz: pp. 113 - 114 (introduction) and the beginning of the text: pp. 114-115 (ll. 1-65).

Describe how and why Parvez is first mistaken about his son's changes. What does it reveal about Parvez? Write an essay. If you like, you can write a word document, which you convert into a PDF document, before you upload it in "Lernraum Berlin".

1) In how far is Parvez "implicated in Western civilization", as his son claims? Give an account of Parvez's Westernized lifestyle.
